Responding to AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj’s statement regarding the Mohalla Clinics, Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor on Monday said the former minister can no longer mislead the people of the city, as public is aware how many such centers functioned without doctors, health tests, and important medicines.
Kapoor claimed that now, on the other hand, the Ayushman Arogya Mandirs that have been opened by the present government are providing all basic facilities, including diagnostics, doctors, and necessary medication.

Kapoor alleged that there were no facilities like many pathology tests, and apart from very basic medicines, nothing else was available in many Mohalla clinics , while they had turned into centers of scams and irregularities.
Notably, the Mohalla Clinics that had been established during the previous government’s tenure, now are being revamped, or replaced by Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, that are going to have enhanced facilities with higher standards.
These centers will offer enhanced primary healthcare facilities, with in- house diagnostics of various diseases and medication as well.
The Ayushman Arogya Mandirs are intended to be permanent structures, as compared to the mohalla clinics that were not always permanent setups, and were built in different settings like portable cabins, and others.
Earlier, during the day AAP staged a demonstrate in Govindpuri, over the shutting down of the mohalla clinics, where party leader Saurabh Bharadwaj stated that before the Delhi Assembly elections, Arvind Kejriwal had repeatedly warned people not to trust the BJP, because if it comes to power it would gradually stop all the welfare schemes and facilities meant for the commoners like these clinics.
